With the necessary full stack software development skills and experience, our client is looking for a lead developer to provide technical coordination, mentoring and supervision of the other developers taking responsibility for their workload and priorities, instructing, reviewing and supporting development of their software development skills and knowledge in line with industry best practice.

Main Responsibilities

As well as coding of new bespoke applications, work will also involve suggesting and integrating new and appropriate technologies e.g. data visualisations, machine learning and AI to deliver benefits to this company, and the use and promotion where appropriate of various platforms and development technologies. As a key member of the IT delivery team, the role holder will act as an internal technical consultant working closely with senior leaders of the business and a broad range of internal stakeholders within this highly ranked professional services firm delivering innovation through technology.

• Experience of and researching and using emerging technologies e.g. RPA, Machine Learning, AI

• DevOps Release and Deployment – including source control, continuous integration, automated build technologies
• Software Development Lifecycle toolsets (e.g. Azure DevOps/JIRA) and Methodologies ( e.g. Agile/SCRUM) and associated techniques / practices
