Data Centre Business Development Manager

(Colocation & Managed Services)

Core responsibilities:

• Developing new business across colocation, cloud-connect, and managed hosting services

• Building partner channels with MSPs, network integrators, and cloud providers

• Responding to RFPs, RFQs and producing technical-commercial proposals

• Positioning competitive differentiators: latency, sustainability, power availability, interconnects

• Working with engineering to design custom cage/footprint solutionsKey Skills & Tech Exposure

• Deep understanding of data-centre ecosystem: cooling, power, interconnects

• Knowledge of IXPs, carrier-neutral fabrics (Equinix Fabric, Megaport)

• Familiarity with AI/ML workload demand trends

• Strong network in fintech, cloud, AI and enterprise verticals

Project Outcome

• Delivered £3.1m in new contracted revenue within first 9 months

• Opened two new verticals: cybersecurity SaaS and boutique trading firms

• Helped the provider reach 78% occupancy on Phase 1 racks
